General support wording is different from claiming to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent vertigo or another disease. Disease-treatment claims require drug-level regulatory treatment.
Evidence questions
- Was the complete product studied?
- Was the dose the same as the label?
- Were outcomes clinically meaningful?
- Was the trial controlled and independently replicated?
Safety questions
Supplements may interact with medicines, affect tests or create surgery-related risks. Evidence can also be limited in pregnant people, nursing mothers and children.
Do not skip diagnosis
Balance symptoms can have many causes. Medical evaluation can identify conditions that require specific treatment rather than generalized supplementation.
